Costume making is the core of my existence.

The magic of theater and movie costumes has always captivated me.

When the time came to choose a profession, it wasn’t a hard choice to make. After graduating with a degree in modern dressmaking in 2008, I joined the movie business, followed by musicals and the Dutch National Ballet, where I worked for 7 years.

Making costumes for work just wasn’t enough.

In my free time I create costumes for myself and my partner, whilst sharing my passion and skills through my YouTube channel. I've discovered that 19th century dress making has many parallels with current theatrical sewing techniques. My goal is to share these tricks of the trade with my audience, bringing people together through a shared love of historical costuming.
